Massamá is an old Portuguese parish, belonging to the municipality of Sintra, with an area of 2.78 km², 28,112 inhabitants (2011) and a density of 10,112.2 h/km². The parish’s best-known heritage site is the Massamá Fountain.
On July 26, 1997, the parish of Queluz was divided into three parishes and the city of Queluz was formed, which includes the parishes of Massamá, Monte Abraão and Queluz. In 2013, as part of the administrative reform, it was annexed to the parish of Monte Abraão, creating the União de Freguesias de Massamá e Monte Abraão.
